The Space

The best farmstay in NSW is also our family home which I make available for guests when I am away. This is a stunning space of  recycled collectables, interiors and artwork from around the world, that come together in a way that makes you feel relaxed as soon as you arrive. It has beautiful north east mountain views, and many outdoor day beds to relax and soak up the surrounds. Our rural home has comfort and style at it’s heart. Our home is fully equipped with everything you need to have a very special country retreat.  The pantry and kitchen are well appointed with all the comforts of home generously taken care of.

There is one King Bed, 2 Queen Beds and one double bed out on the verandah with stunning views. The outdoor bed has an electric blanket in the winter months and mozzie net all year round. We have an inside bathroom with toilet and an additional toilet in the laundry. There is a second bath and shower outside on the verandah under the stars. There is one child’s bedroom which is not accessible to guests. Please let us know if you would specifically like to sleep outside when you book with us.

Our Farm Animals

We have two dogs, three horses, two sheep, three miniature Pygmy goats, two hives of native stingless bees and heritage chickens free ranging on the farm. Our cows are enjoying greener pastures on our neighbours farm. If you are allergic to dogs then this property is not suitable for you.

Our Farm Fresh Veggies & Eggs

We grow beautiful biodynamic seasonal fruit and veggies and eggs, if you would like a mixed box of veggies and eggs (aprox $60-$100 depending on the size of your party and the length of your stay) please let us know when you book in and we will have it waiting for you when you arrive. You can pay for this in cash when you arrive.

The Farm House is situated within our orchard and veggie gardens, so you get to see and enjoy the distinctive growing seasons when your stay here.

Eco Friendly Design

Our country getaway home is built from second hand and recycled doors, windows and timber. Every care has been taken to limit our carbon footprint in the way we are set up. Solar power, rain tanks and our reed bed septic system means we recycle all our resources back into the farm and the food we produce here.

Getting to Bellingen

Bellingen is spread out, with many beautiful valleys, rivers and bush walks to enjoy and explore. So having your own car is important to getting around and seeing all that it offers.

FLYING: Coffs harbour airport is 30 min away.

TRAINS: Urunga Train station is 20 min away.

BUSES: we have a bus service to both urunga and coffs that goes into bellingen town.

TAXIS: we have taxis from bellingen town $20

Guest Access and House Rules

Access

You have your own private house at the top of our farm. It has flat access with under cover parking. This is your farm holiday and you are welcome to enjoy our whole farm and explore the property. Please ensure you keep all the gates closed to keep our animals safe and to prevent our animals accessing our cropping zones.

Inrecation with us

We run a busy farm, but we will always make time for you. We really want you to have wonderful holiday here, so nothing is too difficult for us and we are always available to take care of whatever you nay need. Either I or my onsite farm sitters will greet you when you arrive (not always as soon as you arrive) and explain how everything works to ensure safe and smooth stay on our farm .  Then, we leave you to enjoy your holiday. There is also a comprehensive guest information folder at the house with everything you need to know about your stay, local food guide and things to do and see in the surrounding area. Please make yourselves at home and enjoy all that our farm has to offer. If you or your children would like to help feed our chickens and collect the eggs please ask us when you arrive.

House Rules

This is a lovingly put together family home. We would like you to look after our space and leave it as you found it. This is not a party house – you may not have additional guests above and beyond those listed on the booking, unless you notify us and pay a small additional charge.

Environmentally Friendly

Our house uses rain tank water and we recycle the grey water, so please only use biodegradable soaps and washing powers. We supply guests with environmentally friendly  soaps, and laundry detergent.

Please do not use any cleaning chemicals in the house or chemical based fly spray and cockroach spray as this impacts our health and well being. We supply environmentally friendly alternatives.

Special Occasions

This is one of the reasons we think we offer the best farmstay in NSW. If you are celebrating a special occasion (we do not host weddings) and would like to be surrounded by your family and friends then consider booking our entire farm (all three houses). We can cater up to 21 guests plus extra room for camping and camper trailers down beside the Farm Shed accommodation, making this an extraordinary farm holiday experience. If you are having a wedding nearby, this is the perfect location to stay with all your friends and family.

Camping | Camper Trailers | Small caravans

We have additional flat space to accommodate extra guests. This space is only available if you book the entire farm and or are have booked The Farm Shed.  The shared outdoor amenities means everyone has access to the toilet, kitchen and bathroom without disturbing the guests inside. We charge an additional $25 per camper.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes you may have to cancel your trip due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond your control, or that bad weather may prevent you from reaching your accommodation. If this should happen we are happy for you to re-book your stay with us at another available date of equal. If you would like to cancel your booking and are able to give us enough notice, we can open the calendar and re list it, if we can find someone to take your booking we will reimburse you, however if not then you will need to reschedule for another available date or forfeit your booking.

• The Dorrigo mountains and rainforest walk are just 25 min away
• The beautiful beaches of Urunga, Sawtell, Valla & Hungry head are just 20 minutes away
• Take in the local artisans and produce of Bellingen and its regional areas with local markets 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Saturday of the month.
• Go horse riding in Vallery
• Canoe down the Bellinger river
• Visit the butterfly farm, water slides and bike track
• We have great local music every Friday night at no 5 Cafe
