Welcome to Weilhouse Living, we have 4 unique and beautiful properties that embody our love of nature, beauty and simplicity. We are part of the growing “Slow stay” movement, offering eco-friendly accommodation to the more conscious traveller. Our aim is to tread lightly on the planet without compromising your comforts.
All our country getaways are in NSW and are designed and built with recycled materials and furnished with a wonderful collection of Australian vintage and country collectables. Our homes are designed to merge effortlessly within the surrounding landscapes to take full advantage of the natural beauty.
We believe that we offer the best farmstay in NSW, as all our country retreats are beautiful, family friendly, and are fully equiped with everything you need for your holiday. We are committed to our guests, so our level of service and care are of the highest quality, ensuring that you are well looked after for a fantastic farmstay experience.
We have three beautiful country getaways in Bellingen NSW, and an off the grid wilderness hut in the New England tablelands in Hernani, a stunning wilderness cabin only one hour from Bellingen. Each property has been lovingly built and sustainably restored to blend in with their natural surrounds and to tread lightly on the planet.
Our ‘Funny Farm’
Our three Bellingen farmstays are situated on our stunning 8 acre biodynamic working farm only a short five minute drive from Bellingen town. Here we grow beautiful seasonal farm fresh organic fruit and veggies and delicious eggs for you to enjoy when you stay with us. We grow this for ourselves, our guests and a few select cafes and restaurants. Our farm practices include both permaculture, organic and biodynamic growing principles.
We have two orchards on our farm with over 60 varieties of temperate and subtropical fruit trees to enjoy all year round. We have mangoes, Davidson plums, lychees, mandarines, oranges, lemons, limes, lemonades, olives, figs, Brazilian cherries, Hawaiin guavas, cherry guavas, custard apples, papayas, Thai guavas, bananas and grapes to name a few. Depending which season you stay with us you get to enjoy tasting some of these delicious fruits.
We love our guests enjoying our farm and all that we have to offer. Guests can spend time with our farm animals and help us feed them each day and collect eggs in the afternoon.
Our Farm Animals
We have three horses, two brumbies Megsy and her foal Cosmo, a little welsh pony Prince, two very friendly and inquisitive miniature Pygmy goats Lucy and Betty and our loveable sheep Lucky. For bee lovers, we have two native stingless beehives to help propagate our food. We also have many free ranging heritage chickens which you can help us feed and collect eggs. Our cows Charlie and Fudge are enjoying greener pastures on our neighbours farm.
We also have two very sweet and friendly dogs; Snoopy a Labradoodle and Red a Kavoodle.
Guests can participate as much or as little as they like.
Our guesthouses are fully fenced and child friendly so you can sit back and enjoy a glass of bubbly knowing your children can play safely around you. Children can explore our farm and enjoy our trampoline, swings and treehouse.
Bellingen
Bellingen is one of the most beautiful places in the world, a lush subtropical valley set between the magnificent mountains of Dorrigo and the Pacific Ocean. Bellingen boasts incredible rivers and forests for nature lovers to enjoy. The town itself is vibrant, with a wonderful selection of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. The town enjoys hosting many music festivals, such as the readers and writers festival, camp creative and supports local artists, live music and has weekly local farmers markets.

We believe that spending quality ‘down time’ surrounded by nature and wildlife, offers our guests the opportunity to really switch off and slow down, and for a short time escape the grind of daily life, so that you can return home feeling inspired, rejuvenated and uplifted.
We have something for everyone, as each of our accommodation in Bellingen is distinctively different, catering to a wide range of tastes and budgets from exclusive high-end designer rural living, to a relaxed vintage farm experience, or an affordable ‘budget friendly’ converted shed. Our remote off-the grid wilderness hut in the mountains, caters to those who want to experience being in the Australian bush. All four of properties are child-friendly, private, peaceful, and laid back.
Three of our properties are located on our beautiful 8 acre working farm, a five-minute drive from Bellingen town. Two of our homes have featured in interior magazines and a coffee table book due to their “unique ” interiors and style. Our off the grid hut, featured in Frankie’s ‘Spaces magazine’, and is a magical Australian bush hut set amongst two pristine national parks with wonderful swimming and fishing spots, hiking and horse riding trails to explore. The vibrant, rustic, laid-back style we have created in these distinct homes is enhanced by our commitment to living simply and in harmony with the environment.
We do this by farming organically and preserving the remnant bushland on our properties, to the passive solar design, rain tanks and our use of renewable energy. We also take great care to limit our use of resources by recycling water and waste back into our farm, furnishing our home with antique, vintage and recycled interiors and doing our best to live a simple life.

Bellingen || Farmhouse
We believe this is the best farmstay in NSW. This country getaway is our luxury high end farmstay and is also our home. Our beautifully built and designed home has featured in several interior magazines and coffee table books because of its eclectic style and quirky mix of interiors from around the world. This home has blurred the boundaries between the outside and inside, with large sliding windows and doors that open up to enjoy the magnificent views. This house has a luxurious outdoor bed on the verandah and a bath and shower under the stars so you can truly immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural surrounds. It’s situated at the top of the biodynamic farm with stunning north east mountain views and sea breezes. The house is surrounded by the farms orchard and veggie garden and accommodates up to 8 guests comfortably, providing you with all the amenities necessary to give you a truly inspiring farm holiday experience.

Bellingen || Vintage Farmstay
This is our vintage style, pet friendly farmstay in NSW. It has a fully fenced backyard and verandah so your children and pets can play safely. This beautiful country getaway in NSW is suitable for small families or couples and offers accommodation for 4 people. This farmstay is totally private and is situated at the bottom of our farm near Bunches creek. This quaint, tranquil property on our working farm runs as a year-round holiday stay. Whether you enjoy swimming in the local creek, bushwalking, basking in the sun with a good book or just lounging around on the verandah day bed immersing yourself in the stunning scenery, there’s something here for everyone. This property has a citrus orchard for guests to help themselves to, an outdoor bath under the stars and an outdoor bonfire area to toast marshmallows. Children are welcome to help us feed the chickens, horses and sheep each day and collect eggs in the afternoon.

Bellingen || Farm Shed
This is our ‘budget friendly’ farmstay in NSW. This getaway allows us to offer a farm holiday in Bellingen to everyone. It is a ‘funky’ converted farm shed that accommodates up to five guests with a slow combustion fireplace in the main space as well as an old slow combustion stove in the kitchen. It has an outdoor kitchen and bathroom that takes full advantage of the beautiful setting and allows you to enjoy being outdoors as much as possible. There’s even room beside the shed for extra guests to camp or bring their camper trailer or a small caravan.

Hernani || Wilderness Hut
This “Off the grid” bush hut in NSW is our cleverly restored eco-hut. It is well-insulated and spacious for it’s size, sleeping up to nine people in a comfortable design that minimises our carbon footprint. It has been crafted from recycled timber and fittings with off-grid solar power, slow-combustion fireplace and cooker and has both indoor-outdoor living options to take advantage of the stunning daytime vistas and sparkling night skies. The hut is situated on the National Trail so horse lovers can bring their horses and enjoy easy access to one of the longest riding trails in the Southern Hemisphere. Bushwalkers and nature lovers will delight in the easy access to fishing spots, waterfalls, swimming holes, lookouts and walking trails in the nearby National Parks. Surrounded by bush and pasture in total privacy, this wilderness hut in NSW is a unique gem of a getaway. The hut is only a short drive to Ebor town for basic supplies but far enough away to retreat and replenish in a unique and breathtaking setting.
