Our beautiful Vintage style farmstay in NSW is a unique country getaway that is set on our 8 acre organic/permaculture hobby farm just a short five minute drive from Bellingen town and our beautiful Bellinger River. Our vintage and recycled style offers you a relaxed eco-friendly escape. This farmstay accommodation in NSW is fully equiped with everything you may need for your family holiday with a fully equiped kitchen, laundry facilities, and we offer you a wonderful relaxing farm holiday experience, where your children can explore the farm in a safe environment.  Bonfires, swings  and our tree house means theres plenty for your children to enjoy here. This house now boasts an outdoor bath under the stars, looking out over our orchard and pasture. This property allows you to experience all that a real farm has to offer; fresh organic produce and eggs,  our beautiful  and friendly farm animals; our two gentle dogs, free roaming heritage chickens ducks, horses, goats and sheep which your children are welcome to help us feed and you’re all welcome to spend as much time as you like with our animals.  We have been hosting guests here for over 15  years and have been featured in several interior magazines and coffee table books for our eclectic interiors. Our laid back country style means you feel relaxed as soon as you walk in the door.

The Space

Our vision is simple, and reflects our commitment to providing eco-friendly accommodation to our guests in a way that limits our carbon footprint, without compromising your comfort. We offer a “Slow Stay” here, catering to the conscious traveller, by offering you a beautiful place to slow down, reconnect and recharge with your loved ones. The style of all our country getaways in NSW have an emphasis on creating spaces that blend into the environment, allowing you to enjoy the natural surrounds as much as possible. Our interiors are a mixture of vintage and second hand furnishings and equipment, giving our home a relaxed and laid back feel. This home is light and spacious and has both an indoor slow combustion fireplace and an outdoor bonfire pit as well as an outdoor BBQ. There is also a small citrus orchard with oranges, lemons, limes and lemonades in the paddock in front of your property which you can help yourself to during the winter months. We have an outdoor table and chairs in the garden and an outdoor daybed and sitting area so you can enjoy relaxing outside. This house has a private outdoor bathtub under the stars overlooking our orchard and pasture.

House Layout

Our Vintage Farmstay has an open plan living and kitchen space with vaulted ceilings to allow for plenty of fresh air and light. It has two bedrooms, the main bedroom has a double sized bed and there are two single beds in the second bedroom. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower and laundry facilities.

We can sleep an extra 2 children on the lounge room day beds if they’re happy to sleep in the main space or we can supply 2 x single mattresses.  We supply a kinder cot for your baby, 0-3 years old, but we ask that you bring your own bedding for the cot.

Extra Guests

You may not have extra friends stay over night without incurring an extra charge. Please notify us if you would like to have guests stay over with you so we can adjust the price accordingly and provide you with the necessary bedding and towels for their stay.

Our Farm Animals

We have two dogs, three horses, a sheep, two  goats, two hives of native stingless bees and many beautiful heritage chickens and ducks free ranging on the farm. Our cows are enjoying greener pastures on our neighbours farm. Unfortunately, we no longer have the Alpaccas featured in our photos.  Your children are welcome to help us feed our farm animals each morning and collect eggs with us.

Pets

Unfortunately, we no longer allow pets at this property. Service dogs excepted. There is a fantastic, well priced local kennel for you to take your dog to. They allow you to take your dog out for the day and drop back for overnight. Feel free to ask me for their contact details when you book.

Our Farm Fresh Veggies & Eggs

We grow beautiful organic seasonal fruit and veggies and eggs, if you would like a mixed box of fruit & veggies & eggs (aprox $60 depending on the size of your group and the length of your stay) please let us know when you book in and we will have it waiting for you when you arrive.

Our Permaculture | Organic Farm

We grow all our own seasonal produce using organic and biodynamic principles. We have a small citrus orchard in front of your property for you to help yourself to while you stay,  please let us know if you would like a tour of the vegetable garden and top orchard and we will make time to show you around.

Getting Around

Bellingen is spread out, with many beautiful valleys, rivers and bush walks to enjoy and explore. So having your own car is important to accessing these places.

FLYING: Coffs Harbour airport is 30 min away.

TRAINS: Urunga Train station is 20 min away.

BUSES:  We have a bus service to both uUunga and Coffs that goes into bellingen town.

TAXIS:  We have taxis from Bellingen town to our farm (5min)

Guest Access

You have your own private property on our farm with flat access. You have a fully fenced backyard where your children can play safely. You are welcome to enjoy our whole farm and explore the property.

Interaction with us & Baby Sitting

We run a busy farm, but we are always happy to make time for you. Either I or my onsite farm sitters will come and greet you when you arrive and check you all in to explain how everything works and where everything is, then we will leave you to enjoy your holiday. We want you to have a wonderful time here, so please let us know if there is anything you need to make your stay more comfortable and we will do our best to accommodate you.  We also have a comprehensive guest information folder at the house that explains everything to you, local restaurants and attractions, so please read through that carefully when you arrive to ensure a smooth and safe stay on our farm.

If you require a baby sitter, so you can enjoy some ‘date time’ during your holiday please ask let me know when you book, as my daughter is often available.

House Rules

We ask that you please don’t wear shoes inside, this way we can manage the ongoing hygiene in all our homes. Feel free to wear shoes that haven’t walked around our farm.

We ask that you’re mindful of your water usage and power as all our homes run on solar and rain water.

If you arrive before we have a chance to meet you please go in and make yourselves at home, the house will open and ready for you. Feel free to have a wander around our farm, but please, for the safety of yourselves and our animals we ask you to observe a few rules. Please COPY our gates, If the gates are open, leave them open,  and if their closed, please leave them closed. If you have young children, please supervise them around our animals at all times. All our properties have a no shoe policy to manage the ongoing hygiene in our homes, you are welcome to wear shoes that are not being used on the farm.

Environmentally Friendly

Our house relies on solar power and rain tank water. We ask that you help us manage the limitations that come with these resources while you stay here.  Our grey water is recycled back onto our farm , so please only use biodegradable soaps and washing powers. We supply guests with complementary laundry soap and liquid soap.

Extra Guests

You may not have friends stay over night without incurring an extra charge. Please notify us if you would like to have guests stay over with you so we can adjust the price accordingly and provide their bedding for the night.  Extra guests are $25 per person per night.

Special Occasions

This is one of the reasons we think we offer the best farmstay in NSW. If you are celebrating a special occasion, hosting a writers group, yoga retreat or cooking school you’re welcome to book the entire farm ( All 3 properties ) We can accommodate up twenty guests on our farm. Unfortunately we no longer host large weddings, however if you can limit your wedding guests to 20, the number of guests we can accommodate on our farm, then we can help you.

Camping | Small Camper Trailers | Small Camper Vans

We have additional flat space to accommodate extra guests. This space is only available if you book the entire farm and or are have booked The Farm Shed.  The shared outdoor amenities means everyone has access to the toilet, kitchen and bathroom without disturbing the guests inside. We charge an additional $25 per camper. This is restricted to the weather and rain conditions. We do not accommodate caravans of any size.

Cancellation Policy

When you book with us you are agreeing to our terms and conditions outlined below.

We understand that due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond your control, you may have to cancel your booking, or that bad weather may prevent you from reaching your accommodation. If this should happen we will offer you a travel credit of equal value to be used within 3 months of your booking. There will be no extensions for this time period, and you are only eligible to have one change of dates with your travel credit. (unless Covid Restrictions are enforced). We suggest you rebook as soon as possible to secure your preferred dates and to avoid disappointment.

If you would like a full refund we can only offer this to you if we can find someone else to take your booking dates, up to four weeks prior to your check-in date. To do this, we cancel your booking, we open the booking dates on all booking platforms in an effort to find someone else. Should we secure another booking we will reimburse you fully for your holiday, after deducting our 5% booking and service fees on the total value of your booking(fixed fees from third party users).

If we are unable to secure another booking by four weeks prior to your booking we will notify you, and you can either take the booking, or reschedule your holiday for another date of equal value within 3 months rather than forfeit the loss of your holiday. After this date you forfeit your booking. Should you cancel your booking within the 4 week period you will forfeit your booking.

If you book another date that is less value than your original booking we do not offer refunds for the balance of value. If you reschedule your booking at a higher rate your booking will be amended to reflect the higher rate. Should you alter the number of guests from your original booking, you will not be refunded, should you increase the number of guests from your original booking your booking will be amended to pay for the extra guests.

14 Day Cancellations

If you cancel your booking within 14 days of your booking date, you will not be eligible for a travel credit nor a refund, and will thus forfeit your full booking, your security deposit bond will be refunded back on to your credit card within 7 days.

Covid  Holiday Protocol 

If guests test positive and are unable to come to their holiday they will forfeit their holiday (unless they have travel insurance to cover this). We do not offer refunds or travel credits if a guest tests positive prior to their arrival. Please ensure you take extra care of your health and safety in the week prior to arriving to ensure you are Covid free.

Covid Cancellations and Government Policy

If your trip is cancelled due to government policy restricting travel, or a lockdown, we will offer you a travel credit of equal value to be used within 6 months of your original booking date.There are no extensions for this time period, so we suggest you book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. We will send you a temporary cancellation request, and will amend your booking dates as soon as you update us. Should you choose to cancel your holiday, then our cancellation policy above applies and you will only receive a refund if we can find someone to take your dates.You will need to rebook your dates no less than 4 weeks prior to your original booking dates. You are only eligible to have one change of dates unless COVID restrictions are enforced again.

Booking Adjustments

If for any reason you reduce the number of guests from your original booking, we do not offer refunds or travel credits for this change. We simply ask that you notify us of this amendment, so we can ensure the house is set up properly for your stay. If you choose to increase your guest list and we can accommodate the extra guests we will amend your booking to reflect the extra cost of these guests. We are unable to accommodate different numbers of guests on different nights, so you must book for the maximum number of guests staying.

Security Damage Deposit Bond

Your security damage deposit bond will be refunded within 7 days of your departure. If there is accidental damage to our property or belongings or you have failed to observe our house rules or leave the property as we have asked, we will deduct the necessary funds from your bond to repair or replace the damaged items. We will send you an itemised list of the damage and the cost of repair or replacement with supporting photos. If you have accidentally damaged an item or our property during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible as we often have limited time to repair or replace the item before the next guest arrives.

If you are having a wedding nearby, this is the perfect location to stay with all your friends and family.

We want you to have a wonderful time here, so please let us know if there is anything you need to make your stay more comfortable and we will do our best to accommodate you.  We also have a comprehensive guest information folder that explains everything to you, so please read through that carefully when you arrive to ensure a smooth and safe stay on our farm.   We are happy for you to walk up and visit us if we’re home and for your children to play with ours. If you require a baby sitter, so you can enjoy some ‘out time’ during your holiday please ask us as my daughter is often available.

* Feel free to ask for an early check in or a late check out and we will do our best to accommodate this if we can.
If you arrive before we have a chance to meet you please go in and make yourselves at home, and feel free to have a wander around our farm, but please, for the safety of yourselves and our animals we ask you to observe a few rules. Please COPY our gates, If the gates are open, leave them open,  and if their closed, please leave them closed. If you have young children, please supervise them around our animals at all times. All our properties have a no shoe policy to manage the ongoing hygiene in our homes, you are welcome to wear shoes that are not being used on the farm.

Environmentally Friendly

Our house relies on solar power and rain tank water. We ask that you help us manage the limitations that come with these resources while you stay here.  Our grey water is recycled back onto our farm , so please only use biodegradable soaps and washing powers. We supply guests with complementary laundry soap and liquid soap.

Extra Guests

You may not have friends stay over night without incurring an extra charge. Please notify us if you would like to have guests stay over with you so we can adjust the price accordingly. Extra guests are $25 per person per night.

Special Occasions

This is one of the reasons we think we offer the best farmstay in NSW. If you are celebrating a special occasion (we do not host weddings) and would like to be surrounded by your family and friends then consider booking our entire farm (all three houses). We can cater up to 20 guests plus extra room for camping and camper trailers down beside the Farm Shed accommodation, making this an extraordinary farm holiday experience. If you are having a wedding nearby, this is the perfect location to stay with all your friends and family.

Camping | Camper Trailers | Small Camper Vans

We have additional flat space to accommodate extra guests. This space is only available if you book the entire farm and or are have booked The Farm Shed.  The shared outdoor amenities means everyone has access to the toilet, kitchen and bathroom without disturbing the guests inside. We charge an additional $25 per camper per night. We do not accommodate caravans. If you are towing a camper trailer and would like to park on our farm, please ensure you check with us before booking as we may not be able to accommodate you in poor weather conditions. In this case there are plenty of places to leave your caravan/trailer in town on your way to the farm.

Cancellation Policy

When you book with us you are agreeing to our terms and conditions outlined below.

We understand that due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond your control, you may have to cancel your booking, or that bad weather may prevent you from reaching your accommodation. If this should happen we will offer you a travel credit of equal value to be used within 3 months of your booking. There will be no extensions for this time period, and you are only eligible to have one change of dates with your travel credit. (unless Covid Restrictions are enforced). We suggest you rebook as soon as possible to secure your preferred dates and to avoid disappointment.

If you would like a full refund we can only offer this to you if we can find someone else to take your booking dates, up to four weeks prior to your check-in date. To do this, we cancel your booking, we open the booking dates on all booking platforms in an effort to find someone else. Should we secure another booking we will reimburse you fully for your holiday, after deducting our 5% booking and service fees on the total value of your booking(fixed fees from third party users).

If we are unable to secure another booking by four weeks prior to your booking we will notify you, and you can either take the booking, or reschedule your holiday for another date of equal value within 3 months rather than forfeit the loss of your holiday. After this date you forfeit your booking. Should you cancel your booking within the 4 week period you will forfeit your booking.

If you book another date that is less value than your original booking we do not offer refunds for the balance of value. If you reschedule your booking at a higher rate your booking will be amended to reflect the higher rate. Should you alter the number of guests from your original booking, you will not be refunded, should you increase the number of guests from your original booking your booking will be amended to pay for the extra guests.

14 Day Cancellations

If you cancel your booking within 14 days of your booking date, you will not be eligible for a travel credit nor a refund, and will thus forfeit your full booking, your security deposit bond will be refunded back on to your credit card within 7 days.

Covid Holiday Protocol 

Due to the nature of Covid  and the ever changing rules and regulations, we require that ALL guests ensure they arrive Covid Free. If you have cold or flu like symptoms, please provide us with a PCR or RAT test 24 hours prior to your arrival to conform your health status and others travelling with you.

If guests test positive and are unable to come to their holiday they will forfeit their holiday (unless they have travel insurance to cover this). We apologise but we no longer offer refunds or travel credits for last minute cancellations, should  a guest test positive prior to their arrival, as we will be unable to fill that booking. Please ensure you take extra care of your health and safety in the week prior to arriving to ensure you are Covid free. RAT tests are not required outside of the holiday season unless guests are symptomatic.

Covid Cancellations and government policy

If your trip is cancelled due to government policy restricting travel, or a lockdown, we will offer you a travel credit of equal value to be used within 6 months of your original booking date.  There are no extensions for this time period, so we suggest you book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. We will send you a temporary cancellation request, and will amend your booking dates as soon as you update us. Should you choose to cancel your holiday, then our cancellation policy above applies and you will only receive a refund if we can find someone to take your booking dates.  You will need to rebook your dates no less than 4 weeks prior to your original booking dates. You are only eligible to have one change of dates unless COVID restrictions are enforced again.

Booking Adjustments

If for any reason you reduce the number of guests from your original booking, we do not offer refunds or travel credits for this change. We simply ask that you notify us of this amendment, so we can ensure the house is set up properly for your stay. If you choose to increase your guest list and we can accommodate the extra guests we will amend your booking to reflect the extra cost of these guests. We are unable to accommodate different numbers of guests on different nights, so you must book for the maximum number of guests staying.

Security Damage Deposit Bond

Your security damage deposit bond will be refunded within 7 days of your departure. If there is accidental damage to our property or belongings or you have failed to observe our house rules or leave the property as we have asked, we will deduct the necessary funds from your bond to repair or replace the damaged items. We will send you an itemised list of the damage and the cost of repair or replacement with supporting photos. If you have accidentally damaged an item or our property during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible as we often have limited time to repair or replace the item before the next guest arrives.

  • We have plenty of board games, books and puzzles. 
  • Let your children help us feed the chickens and collect the eggs. 
  • We have swings, a tree house and a trampoline for your children to enjoy. 
  • Great bush walks 5 min from the house.
  • Enjoy the pristine Never Never river with a picnic and a swim in the Promised Land.
  • The Dorrigo mountains and rainforest walks are just 25 min away
  • The beautiful beaches of Urunga, Valla & Hungry head are just 20 minutes away
  • Take in the local artisans and produce of Bellingen and its regional areas with local markets every Wednesday afternoon and every Saturday.
  • Go horse riding in Vallery.
  • Canoe down the Bellinger river.
